Becoming A Successful Ebay Seller

EBay is a multi-million dollar auction shopping site. Essentially, eBay is one of the world's most popular shopping centers in cyberspace. EBay is founded on shopping and selling by millions of people around the world.

Many people are out there trying to figure out how to make money with eBay. When looking at how to do it, starting is pretty simple. Learn three fundamental steps toward becoming an eBay seller.

Step one is to sign up to for an eBay account. From eBay front page choose the blue register link. Fill out the registration form with your personal information. Choose a username that doesn't reveal too much personal information. Your password should be something that is easy to remember. After reading and agreeing to the terms of service, you will receive a confirmation email that will enable you to activate your eBay account.

Step two is it's time to create a payment account. The easiest and most secure option for payment is a PayPal account. PayPal offers protection for buyers and sellers. It also offers free auction tools for sellers. Credit card payment may also be accepted, but it is necessary to set up a merchant account first.

Step three is to create an eBay seller account. When you post your first listing you will need a credit card or debit card simply to verify your identity. A checking account number may also be submitted for verification. At this time you will choose how you want to pay eBay selling fees.

Payment options include one-time payment of fees deducted from your PayPal account or you may allow your charges to accrue and pay automatically via credit card or PayPal once a month. Direct pay allows you to have fees automatically deducted from your checking account. (This option is available on in US dollars and US accounts). EBay accepts checks only from business retailers.
