Wind Damage And Insurance

High winds hit western Washington Tuesday night, with peaks of 70 km / h in Hoquiam, 62 at Alki Point, 54 and 43 at McChord Field in Puyallup. (Here is a wind map National Weather Service and the list of wind speeds in other cities.)

Power was knocked out of thousands of people, according to the Seattle Times, and there have been felled trees throughout the area: three trees in a brick house in Seattle, the tree dies a mobile home in Kitsap County woman, and in Snohomish County firefighters freed a man trapped in his home a fallen tree.

All this brings us back to a common theme in this time of year, winter storms and insurance. We sent a long list of questions and answers online, including things like:

-Is your car covered if branches fall on him?

- Will insurance pay to clean any debris that the trees in your garden? (Sorry, no.)

-What happens if the boat sank in high sea winds?

- What if the increased killing your TV?

... And much more. Look, if you have questions or problems to the obligation to pay - and you're Washingtonian - call us at 1-800-562-6900. We are a state agency that regulates insurance in the State of Washington, we will do our best to help.
