It is a great time to be a movie aficionado. For loads of years the only way to see a up-to-the-minute motion picture was to go to the theater. After that the video stores came out but there you had to go over there and try to get your movie, it was over and over again out of stock and if you didn't get it back on time you had to pay a late fee. Now you can get films by mail but you still have to wait.
The Indian in the Cupboard - A boy (Scardino) receives an ancient chest as a birthday gift, and finds out that when he sets a toy Indian inside and turns the key, the Indian comes to life. Then he sees that the Indian is not a toy, however a real person. Troubles follow, particularly while his best friend summons to life a toy cowboy. Cast includes Hal Scardino, Lindsay Crouse, Richard Jenkins, Rishi Bhat, and Nestor Serrano. (96 minutes,'95)
Mysterious Lady - An Austrian armed forces officer (Nagel) falls in love with Garbo, naive that she's a Russian agent. Another contrived plot made serviceable by Garbo herself. Cast includes Greta Garbo, Conrad Nagel, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Albert Pollet, and Edward Connelly. (96 minutes,'28)
Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Here is a romantic comedy set in a stunning resort in Hawaii. After being dumped by his girlfriend Sarah, he at last decides to go to Hawaii to get over the loss. Unfortunately, when he goes to check in at the resort, the first person he sees is Sarah, and of course her new boyfriend.
Clue - Silly and insipid mystery based on the fashionable board game of the same name with all the identifiable characters Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Miss Red, et al. gathered for a murderous day in a Victorian mansion. Everyone tries tremendously hard but there is nothing they can do to save this weak film. Cast includes Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Ponder, and Howard Hesseman. (87 minutes,'85)
Inferno - American returns to New York from school in Rome to investigate the shocking death of his sibling, and finds "sinister moms" wreaking paranormal mayhem on both sides of Atlantic. Surreal, hypnotic shocker by Italian terror maestro Argento does not make much sense, but it has a lot of style. Cast includes Leigh McCloskey, Irene Marvel, Sacha Pitoeff, Daria Nicolodi, Eleonora Giorgi, Veronica Lazar, and Alida Valli. (107 minutes,'84)
Rampage - Expectant Long Island housewife, unable to contend with married life escapes her husband and picks up a simple minded football player on the street. Cast includes Michael Biehn, AIex McArthur, Robert Duvall, Marya Zimmet, Tom Aldredge, and Laurie Crewes. (97 minutes,'92)
Before you start downloading movies look at a few of the available sites. If you want to be able to burn the motion picture onto a CD so you can observe it on your TV, make sure that you can do that. Look for a superior variety and check to see if the site offers you information on the time that it takes to download a film.
